Magic Carpet
Worth Ryder Gallery, Berkeley, CA.
Projector, White Vinyl Tile
March 2007
Perhaps a carpet from the future.  Walking into the gallery, visitors would see a portion of the floor that had been re-tiled with white vinyl tile. The tile matched the axis of the floor, yet was slanted and cut to form a rectangle.  When visitors would approach this area,  if stepped on, the floor would suddenly illuminate with the image of a carpet.

This installation explores "accidental activation," where a series of events unfolds without the visitor knowingly participating with the work.
